A First Note From the Founders

The world has changed. Quietly at first. Then all at once.
For months, in conversations with leaders across industries, we have heard the same thing in different words: the systems that once produced our success are no longer producing what is needed.
Performance rises. Meaning fades.
Efficiency improves. Human vitality declines.
Strategies multiply. Trust weakens.
The leaders we have spoken with are not failing. Their organisations are not broken. They are simply designed for a world that no longer exists — a world built on predictability, hierarchy, and control. The deeper question has not been how do we transform. It has been who can we become.
Today, on the solstice, the three of us are putting a name to what has been forming.
The Indigo Elephant is in the world.
Why now
We did not rush this. Between us, we hold decades of embodied experience — in leadership, in organisational systems, in human development, in the slow work of helping people see what they cannot yet see. We have watched the assumptions of the old playbook strain against a reality that no longer fits. We have sat with leaders who already sense the shift but cannot yet name it.
Most organisations are still operating with Society 3.0 structures in a Society 4.0 world. The destination is increasingly clear. The bridge is not.
That bridge is what we build.
Why an elephant. Why indigo.
The elephant has been a steady companion in our thinking for some time. Matriarchal. Patient. Quietly powerful. With a memory that holds the whole story of the tribe. With senses subtle enough to feel a storm three valleys away. The elephant does not move quickly — until it does.
Indigo is what carries. The depth. The clarity. The lens that lets you see beneath the surface of what can be measured.
We took the name when we noticed that none of us had to argue for it. It was already there.
Who this is for
We work with leaders who sense that something fundamental has changed — and who are willing to ask what comes next.
Not the leaders who want the pain to go away. The leaders who are already curious about what comes after the pain.
If you have read the books, attended the conferences, run the programmes — and you still find yourself thinking there must be more than this — you are who we built this for.
Our work is not to add another framework. It is to spark the intelligence already present in your organisation, and to help that intelligence move.
Sparking Human Intelligence to Mobilise Organisational Evolution.
What we believe
A few principles, plainly stated.
Organisations are living systems, not machines. They cannot be optimised into life.
Intelligence belongs to the whole, not to the top. The role of leadership is not to know more — it is to mobilise what is already there.
Contribution matters. So does difference. So does dignity.
The future of leadership is not control. It is intelligence — distributed, embodied, accountable, alive.
An invitation
We are open for conversation. Not pitches, not pipelines — conversations. If something here resonates, if you are sensing the same shift in your own organisation and you would like to think together, we would welcome that.
The Indigo Elephant is in the world.
We are ready.
With care,
Mario, Elsbeth, and Nienke
