My Why for The Indigo Elephant
The Indigo Elephant is an inevitable next step in my professional life. Here, everything I have invested in over the past thirty years comes together: a deep understanding of business, alongside an equally deep understanding of mind and soul. It is the triangle I have been able to explore in all of its forms and in all of its deeper layers.
Soul first — and everything else follows
The insights from those deeper layers have given me the deep trust that a business is ideally not built from the mind, but from the heart. And anyone who says this cannot avoid the connection to the soul — because the soul is the source that feeds the heart. It gives direction to where the heart may grow, and inspires us to live a life aligned with who we truly are.
That is why The Indigo Elephant returns to ancient wisdom: soul first. Everything else follows from that. And what lies within is shaped by our soul contract.
Our soul contract is — simply put — our blueprint for living a life on earth that not only offers us the greatest possibilities to grow, but also contributes to the whole. To our families. To our communities. To the society we live in.
When we live that soul contract fully, and build our business in line with it, everything falls into place. Everything is aligned.
And that is what The Indigo Elephant does: bring full alignment between your soul, your business, and the societal model you want to live in.
We are all one
Because everyone contributes. You too — as a soul — contribute to the evolution of a society in which your talent, your gift, is not only relevant to you, but a legacy for every other.
In other words: we are all one. No matter how individual or how alone we may sometimes feel, we are connected. To the greater whole. To the universe. To everything that lives on this planet — not only humans, but also nature, the animals, the air. Everything is connected to everything.
We should take responsibility over those other things too, because we are part of them ourselves. We cannot destroy nature without destroying ourselves. We cannot pollute the air without bearing the consequences ourselves. That awareness calls for responsibility — a deep recognition that we form a collective. Not just a collective of people, but a collective with the planet, with nature, and with everything that moves within it.
And with responsibility comes action
You can recognise that responsibility, but when your behaviour and your life do not match that alignment, you see it immediately: you fall out of line. You disconnect from the collective. You feel alone again. You feel outside of society again. No longer connected to the others.
And that is what we want to do with The Indigo Elephant — together with others, define a new societal model. Find a foundation on which we feel connected again. Where we may live our lives from our soul mission. Where our talents are put to work for the greater whole — and where we are recognised for that, and can maintain a standard of living that gives us safety. Physical safety. Enough food. Safe cities. Good healthcare.
A world that works for everyone
When we explore more deeply how the world can work for everyone, a model eventually emerges in which we all contribute to the collective. Each according to their individual talent.
That does not mean we become uniform. Quite the opposite. Our unique gifts are precisely what is put to fullest use in service of the whole. And those willing to go the extra mile are compensated in proportion to their contribution to that greater collective.
In this way, your talent benefits not only your own pocket, but the collective prosperity — the collective wellbeing — in line with how your soul mission unfolds.
Not just a company — a movement
That is why, for me, The Indigo Elephant is not only a place to grow. It is, above all, a community — a unity where we explore, together with others, the architecture we need to create a world that works for everyone. Not just for me. For each of us. Financially. In our health. And for our natural world too — because we are that nature. We do not have nature; we are her.
That is why The Indigo Elephant has emerged from a deep awareness that humans and the planet are inseparably connected. There can be no economy without nature that is sustainable. No healthcare without nature that is sustainable. Everything is connected to everything.
With The Indigo Elephant, we do not only want to build a company — we want to set a movement in motion. A movement that not only recognises this, that not only takes responsibility, but above all takes action, together.
I hope to meet you at one of our Indigo Elephant events — or, who knows, simply in a conversation. Below, you can book a conversation with me.
